As part of its commitment towards families McDonald's India - North and East has introduced new and relevant options to the fav Happy Meal and has a goal to provide a healthy and healthy change to the menu. Customers are now able to choose pineapple tidbits along with the apple juice (that is entirely fruit-based*) as well as a chocolate milkshake, in addition to the burger of their choice in the Happy Meal. Apple juice included with HM is 100% fruit-based and has no sugar added. The chocolate milkshake is a low-fat dairy-based drink that is rich in calcium and protein. With these new additions to the Happy Meal, McDonald's aims to provide nutrition-based healthy and balanced choices for patrons and families. New menu options are not contaminated with artificial ingredients, preservatives, or artificial colors.
The launch was announced by the Mr. Rajeev Ranjan the Chief Operating Officer of McDonald's India North and East, said: North and East stated "Every day, families go to McDonald's restaurants to create lasting memories with the food they like. Through the introduction of the Fruit bowl, a 100% fruit-based juice drink, and Calcium and Protein-enriched Milkshake within the Happy Meal menu, we offer food and beverage options that can increase the pleasure and tasty experience for the Happy Meal customers. We are making continuous progress on our food journey, and making positive and significant changes so parents feel confident about their happy Meals." Over time, McDonald's India - N&E has introduced new menu ingredients, items, and innovative menus that have transformed the food industry. It continues to improve the menu to meet the changing tastes of customers and preferences. "We're having conversations with our supply partners, customers, and internal and external experts to introduce changes to ensure that we are able to serve our customers' stated and unstated food needs," added Rajeev. Quality and safety of food are always at the forefront every one of McDonald's products is subject to rigorous quality inspections, from farms to tables, to ensure that the patrons are able to enjoy delicious and safe food each time they go to McDonald's. In addition, to demonstrate their commitment to safety and quality today, McDonald's India - North and East has also introduced the global 'Safety+' program that encompasses more than 50 processes that have been modified in the restaurants' operations. Safety+ is a Global system of better hygiene and safety measures that ensure that every element that is part of McDonald's service is secure for the patrons and staff. It is based on more than six decades of leadership in safety within McDonald's restaurants. Customers can place orders for their favorite sweets in stores through McDelivery at Drive-thru's and via McDonald's App.
