Haldiram's, India's largest ethnic snack-food company Nagpur is growing rapidly by establishing its own manufacturing facility to manufacture long-lasting dairy products. The company is constructing a huge dairy plant, that will be investing more than 100 crore rupees and the company hopes to expand its operations beyond its current market which includes Maharashtra, Goa, and Chhatisgarh.
SIG is a leading systems and solutions provider of aseptic carton packaging, was selected to expand its products by using its innovative filling machines for aseptic cartons. This is the first time SIG has made an investment into its manufacturing facility for filling aseptic cartons and the company is providing an ultra-fast CFA 1224 filling machine to combiblocXSlim packaging. The filling process offers great flexibility, with several volume options which makes it a great option. In addition, the high-speed filling machine capable of filling 24,000 cartons per hour, has the capacity to grow and expand in the coming years.
In announcing the partnership, Sushil Agarwal, director at Haldiram's Nagpur said, "SIG offered us state-of-the-art technology that can be used in 9 sizes of volume in one machine for filling and all of it at high speed. This allows us to have a variety of options to package various products in a wide range of packaging sizes and formats. Furthermore than that, the slim, elegant cartons are stylish and are noticeable on the shelves." Beginning by co-packaging its items by contracting with manufacturers Haldiram's Nagpur is now planning to launch an additional range of dairy and non-dairy ethnic products, making use of its existing retail networks along with distribution capacities."
