The shrink wrap is a type of packaging material, predominantly used for packing of fruits and vegetables, including their products. Shrink wrapping can be carried out by the polymer plastic film, through applying the heat over the packed material to shrink it tightly. Heat can be used with a handheld heat gun, or either the packed item can be passed through a heat emitting tunnel on a conveyor.
Usually, few small holes can be made into shrink film with a pinwheel perforator before being shrunk. Sequentially, the trapped air in the shrink sealed packaging will escape by vent holes. Then, the film is tightly conformed to the product once air is allowed to vent from shrink wrap.
